EXEMPT POSITIONS
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN
SUMMARY: This position is primarily to support analytical work on both R&D and Quality related projects as well as working on product development projects.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
-
Work both independently and as part of a team in new product development efforts.

Prepare and test prototype tape constructions to meet customer and market specific application requirements.
-
Test Venture Tape products to customer specified protocol.
-
Work with the technical and manufacturing departments in testing for problem solving purposes.
-
Generate professional quality test reports for both the Venture Tape sales group and Venture Tape customers.
-
Work under the direction of the technical and sales teams in the preparation of product prototypes for customer evaluations.
-
Identify new sources of raw material supply.
-
Generate adhesive, substrate, release liner and other raw material comparison studies for qualifying new materials.
-
Directly interface with vendors, customers, and Venture Tape sales and marketing personnel.

As directed conduct testing and record long term aging data on selected Venture Tape products.

Perform incoming testing of raw materials and disposition materials.

Perform thermal analysis on raw materials.

Compile supplier raw material specifications

Maintain organized electronic records and files.

Minimum Requirements:

Knowledge of PSTC and ASTM test methods

Computer skills in Windows, Word, Excel, and Access

- BS or Associate degree in science or engineering.
HOURLY POSITIONS
MATERIAL
HANDLER-FORKLIFT
First Shift 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
SUMMARY: Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or
storage facility. Utilizes forklift.
Move materials to and from warehouse or storage facility to their proper
location in the coating or converting departments. Deliver all materials needed
to perform and complete jobs specifications.
Major Responsibilities:
- Keep
aisles cleared, daily, for maneuverability to load and unload machines
- Maintains a flow of raw or work-in-process
materials to their proper machines.
- Proper handling
and storage of adhesive drums and totes.
- Removal of
finished rolls from converting or coating department staging areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Forklift
experience. Must satisfactorily pass a test for a forklift license.
- 1-3
years experience in the field or related area within a warehouse or plant
environment.
- Safety
conscious.
- Good
communication skills.
Education and/or Experience:
- Read,
write and comprehend English at the high school level.
- Successful
completion of a basic math test.
Essential Physical Functions:
- Relies
on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of
the job.
- Climb
on and off the forklift as needed.
SLITTER MACHINE OPERATORS - SECOND SHIFT & THIRD
SHIFT
Summary:
He/She is responsible for the daily operation of a
manual slitter machine. He/She is responsible for productivity and the
quality of the product. He/She will coordinate the activities within the
slitter work cell. When applicable, the operator is responsible for
training junior operators to the level of operator. He/she is expected to
work safely, adhering to Venture tape safety policies and general
manufacturing procedures.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
- Check condition of the equipment before
operation.
- Setup and run to manufacturing
specifications.
- Maintain or improve product quality.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards.
- Reset blades when needed.
- Load and unload material on and off the
machine.
- Make boxes and labels and pack finished
product on line.
- Complete daily production reports neatly and
accurately.
- Coordinate the activities of the work cell
and train new operators.
- Maintain a clean machine and work area.
- Perform related tasks as assigned by the
supervisor or lead person.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to read and write English at the
high school level
- Basic mathematic ability, must pass a math
test
- Mechanical ability
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of
a team
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, not on a regular basis

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, not on a regular basis
